The Commonwealth Bank is committed to being Australia's finest financial services organisation through excelling in customer service. To achieve this, we are doing things differently. This determination to be different has been highlighted by our success in winning a number of recent awards.

 

MFAA Lender of the Year 2011


The Commonwealth Bank Third Party Banking team is extremely proud to have won for the third time in a row this award and the fourth time in eight years. What is significant about this achievement is that it is testament to the strength of our collaboration and teamwork across all our valued broker partners and internal stakeholders, in working together as one team to ensure 'Excellence in Customer Service' for our service. We would thank our broker partners for their support, trust and commitment to an industry that helps our mutual customers reach one of their most important dreams - home ownership. We also congratulate the teams in CBA Credit Risk and Mortgage Services for their support and superb effort of the last twelve months, through probably the most challenging times we have experienced in recent decades.

All our efforts have been valued and recognised by our broker partners and customers. Thank you everyone for your support and appreciation in working together to reach this wonderful achievement. 

 

MPA: Brokers on Banks Survey 2011

The Commonwealth Bank was voted number one lender in the MPA magazine’s ‘Brokers on Banks’ survey. Commonwealth Bank scored top points in six of the nine categories.

 

The Adviser: Third Party Report Major Lenders 2011

The Commonwealth Bank was voted number one lender in The Adviser magazine’s survey of major lenders in the mortgage broking market. Commonwealth bank scored the number one position in 12 of the 17 categories.

 

Australian Lending Awards 2011

Commonwealth Bank was voted ‘Best Third Party Operator’ at the inaugural Australian Lending Awards in May 2011.

Australia's Most Effective Internet Presence

The Commonwealth Bank has been awarded for the second year running the AMA “Most Effective Internet Presence” Award for the CommBroker website. Our CommBroker site has been designed for our mortgage brokers. It includes features such as tracking loans, printing documents remotely and the Property Value Guide. As a pivotal resource for our broker partners we are proud to be recognised for our industry leading website and for enabling brokers to provide a better service to their customers.       

              

 

Bank of the Year

The Commonwealth Bank Group has been named Money magazine's 'Bank of the Year' for the second time in three years. Following an assessment of our customer service levels, product mix and operational efficiency, we received the highest honour of all financial institutions. This is another acknowledgement of our efforts to 'place the customer at the centre of everything'.

Major Lender of the Year

We are the inaugural 'Major Lender of the Year', 2010, as ranked by The Adviser magazine. Following a survey of more than 450 professional brokers, the Bank won the top position following your acknowledgement of our customer proposition, including our outstanding CONNECT referral program, relationship managers and credit assessment staff, client support, broker communication and interaction, training and education, business support and more.

Australia's Best Online Bank

Canstar Cannex named us the winner of their  first Best Online Banking award. The award criteria focussed  predominantly on three main areas - internet banking (everything on the secure side), website (the public, unsecure side), and online applications (both from the secure and unsecure side), as well as the level of integration of these platforms. The Canstar Cannex acknowledged our determination to place the customer at the centre of everything:

 "The Commonwealth has invested a lot of time and money over the past few years to develop a customer-friendly website, both for the general public and existing customers. Our research and road test confirms the bank is on the right track.  We were particularly impressed with the efforts Commonwealth Bank has gone to in providing a streamlined online banking experience for customers. The level of information available, the ability to manage a wide variety of banking needs, and the ability to apply for new products directly from the secure online banking login were all outstanding" (Canstar Cannex website)

The Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) is a leading provider of service and advocacy for mortgage brokers, finance brokers, mortgage managers, lenders (bank and non-bank) and originators to assist them develop, foster and promote the mortgage and finance industry.

 

Australian Mortgage Awards 2009

The Australian Mortgage Awards is the largest mortgage award event in Australia.The event celebrates and recognises the achievements of individuals and businesses in the mortgage industry and the awards night itself is the culmination of months of nominations, research, submissions and planning. We received:

  • the 'Most Effective Internet Presence' award for our mortgage broker website, CommBroker
  • the 'Best Bank Business Development Manager' for Gerard Rolfs, Relationship Manager in Victoria
